The F-14 Tomcat™ is a double-seater supersonic twin-engine carrier fighter used by the
US Navy. The variable swept wing aircraft, deployed on aircraft carriers since 1974,
has been engaged in various missions such as air control, fleet air defense, interception and tactical reconnaissance equipped with reconnaissance pods. As of September 2006, all aircraft have been retired from the US Navy.
