Zoukei-Mura Super Wing Series 1/48 F-4C Phantom II 'Wild Weasel IV'

Zoukei-Mura's latest F-4 Phantom II variant in their Super Wing Series is the F-4C Phantom II 'Wild Weasel IV'.

The F-4C 'Wild Weasel IV' is a specialised version for the SEAD mission intended to supplement the F-105G Wild Weasel Thunderchiefs which had suffered a high loss rate.

Zoukei-Mura has newly tooled all the parts needed to build their existing standard F-4C Phantom II kit as this specialised variant, and provided a new decal with markings for three different aircraft.

Key features of this model kit:

- Dedicated components with KB18 strike camera, AN/ALR-53 or ER-142 receiver, tape recorder, etc. on AIM-7 station 4

- AN/ALQ-87 ECM pod on station 6        

- AGM-45 Shrike anti-radar missile on stations 2/8

- Four AN/ALR-53 homing antennae in wedge-shaped fairing

- AN/ALR-53 Stub/Omni antenna and AN/APR-26 blade antenna

- AN/ALR-46 Forward antenna on the fairing underside of radome (for the 3rd decal option)

- AN/ALR-46 aft antenna on the drag chute cover of the tail (for the 3rd design, see below)

- AN/ALR-53 DF antenna on the side of the intake

- Dedicated EWO's instrument panel
